... Matt Maher's last CD, Welcome to Life yet ... well, you should.
It's musically brilliant.
It's lyrically authentic.
And it's all about loving God.
I seriously forgot how good it was ... all it took was one listen to "Isaiah 61" to remind me. He uses Scripture in a way that puts lots of Christian music to shame. It is so real.
Click here and check out songs he's working on for his next album.
UPDATE: After listening a bit to the above linked songs, I have determined that I can't wait for his next CD. Why can't all Catholic (let alone Christian) artists be this good?

Dude! Thank you!
I've long been on a quest to find decent (Read: Rock) music done by Catholics, and have found...3, perhaps, that are any good.
Ceili Rain, Seven Sorrows, and...I don't even remember the other one. I've heard Scarecrow and Tinman, but don't like 'em that much. But we're really just not as good as Protestants with the whole music scene.
Not to say that I don't love plenty of generic Christian bands to death. Look, I think I literally loved FIF to death! Two albums after I discovered them, they died! Heck!
But yes. Hoorah for good Catholic rock.
I recommend checking out phatmass.com. It's a Catholic hip hop site but they also have links to rock bands (such as Seven Sorrows).
I seriously believe that there are no Catholic ska or hardcore bands. That is depressing. The protestants definitely kick our but in this respect.
FIF*RIP
I meant "butt."
