Sparrow shot for downing domino record bid
Not only did they overreact in shooting a bird to save their domino project, but now it is a "call to action" to save all of the other sparrows out there from stupid humans.
One: The "breaking a record" thing is kind of dumb. Yes, it may be some kind of achievement, but does it mean anything?
Two: I imagine that this is not part of a larger problem of bird-hatred among the people of The Netherlands.
This part is pretty funny though: "A Dutch website called Geenstijl offered a $1,200 reward for anybody who knocks over the dominoes ahead of time to avenge the bird."
