Weekend = Good

It included getting together with most of the band formerly known as Qorban/Almost Broken/Broken Vessels/Donut Robot 42 (though I still vote for Stoning Steven) and having a doozy of a practice. I hadn't played drums for like three months so it was very good practice.

Afterwards those of us who stayed in Alliance spent the night at the mostly empty STE house. It seems like everytime I'm at MUC since I've graduated it's with the same couple people in that house with no one who really lives there.

I guess seminary life is doing something to me because on saturday morning, instead of waking up to my alarm (11:30 AM) I woke up naturally at a relatively early time for staying up until about 2 (9:38 AM). Refreshing!

That night I went to Central's first playoff game. They won, I got to play band roadie, and a good time was had by all.

And so, I'm back at lovely St. Vincent's. I came back early and worked on Philosophy journals all day. There was a big storm. That was cool. And I am rambling.

As I said, the weekend was good. I hope yours was too. There are a couple pics at my photoblog, but the spirit of the weekend can be summed up in this anecdote:

Josh and I were driving to Alliance with my drums stuffed in his Geo Metro. One of the greatest songs of all time, Wonderwall by Oasis, was playing and we were singing along. I decided to call Craigr so we could sing the chorus to him so I dialed his cell and as soon as someone picked up we started belting it out. When I went to talk to him I heard a woman laughing ... we had just serenaded Craigr's mom.

Good .... times.
