But, when a corporation acts like it owns a sport, there is a problem. It's part of a trend of companies monopolizing things that aren't really theirs. The only good example I can think of is MTV and music but the idea carries into more concrete things like computer technology (Microsoft), shopping (Wal*Mart) and major studios with movies.
Major League Baseball doesn't own baseball, we do. Yes. We the people own baseball, and music, and America.
Besides, it's just a game.
