Weeks tend to fly by ... it's already Sunday again and almost Easter.
Past: It was a relatively slow week because I don't have anything due until after Easter. It's nice to relax a little after the last few hectic weeks. My bishop visited friday. We all had individual interviews, then mass in the little chapel on my floor, and finally lunch out. It was a good time.
On friday night, a bunch of us went and saw Lucky Number Slevin. First off, it was not a "kids movie." There was quite a bit of swearing and violence as well as a couple pointless sex scenes at the beginning. Once you get past that, the movie was pretty good. You think you have a clue about what is happening throughout the whole movie, but then in the end you find out that you're wrong. I love stories like that. Also, the acting was quite good. My two favorite were Bruce Willis (an ice cold bad guy for once) and Lucy Liu (honest and authentic). So, in the end, the morals weren't that great, but the story and cinematography went a long way towards making up for those failings.
Yesterday, we had a seminar on communications (right up my Media Studies major alley). That evening, I helped usher for a fantastic choir concert in the Basilica. Finally, a few of us watched Back to the Future I and II (random interesting story on time travel, while I'm on the subject). I forgot how funny and good those movies are.
Today we celebrated Palm Sunday with a beautiful mass preceded by a procession through our building. After lunch I went for a pretty long walk around a corn field adjacent to our campus (pictures are on my photoblog).
Future: We only have class until wednesday this week. Tomorrow I'll be home for a few hours to serve at one of our diocese's Chrism Masses. Then I'll be home for Easter Break on wednesday. Me and my mom plan on picking up my brother on friday and then on saturday, I'll go to my friend's confirmation (I'm his sponsor). Then Easter!
Wow. That was a lot of blogging.
