That is what Chris, one of the seminary sacristans said to me as I walked into the chapel for adoration. I was a little late, so Deacon Seth (congrats!) has already exposed the Blessed Sacrament on the altar. I was waiting outside the chapel for him and the server with the incense to process out.
Though what Chris said was sort of a funny remark towards me for being late, it really struck me. Think about it: Jesus is there waiting for us - in the Mass, in a holy hour, and in a million other instances of our lives. He is present to us and is just waiting for us to give ourselves to Him. That's all it takes.
So, whenever you're stressed out or depressed or feeling far away from God, remember that phrase: "Jesus is waiting for you."
