As expected, the world didn't end ...

... even though today was 6/6/06.

As for me, it has been a busy couple of days with two funerals and a memorial mass. Also, we traveled to St. Clairsville for a celebration ordination anniversaries for a few priests and the birthdays of our two former bishops (80 and 90!). It was cool to see a lot of the priests and hang out with most of the Steubenville seminarians.

Tomorrow I will drive to Steubenville for the Catholic Womens Club convention where Msgr. Campbell (pastor of St. Mary Church) will be giving the address. I'll be taking some of the women from the parish up there. Another seminarian and I will serve the mass there.

I'm also excited to go home for a bit because my family bought a new dog. It's another beagle named Smokey. I'll post (adorable) pictures when I return.

Finally, I've been listening to the two CDs in the current music section (on the right somewhere) a lot lately. We Don't Need to Whisper by Angels and Airwaves is pretty amazing. It's definitely not anything like Blink 182's music (former Blink guitarist, Tom DeLonge, is the lead singer). I would say it is heavily influenced by U2 with some pretty innovative sounds. I like it a lot.
The other CD I've been hooked on is Coheed and Cambria's sophomore album, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3. The more I listen to their music, the more I appreciate it. They just keep building onto their musical ideas and themes in every album. Sometime soon (maybe while driving) I want to listen to all three in a row. It's a big time committment though.

Anyway, that's about it for me. I will probably update this weekend.

Peace.
