I told you so ...

A while ago, I posted several times about the band Showbread. I loved (and still do) their song "Mouth Like A Magazine," so I've been searching for their CD for ... well almost a year, I think.

Well, on thursday while we were in Columbus I found it! Thank you, Barnes & Noble!

Yes, they scream a lot. I'll just admit that now. Most of my readers probably wouldn't like them, however, I think the CD, "No Sir, Nihilism Is Not Practical" is FANTASTIC.

The music is ferocious and slightly chaotic, but it is some of the catchiest (dare I say, poppiest?) hardcore I've ever heard. There's nothing like it. I was extremely impressed with a lot of the lyrics. It's clear that this is a Christian band. Also, I was pleased to see that Reese Roper (of Roper and formerly of Five Iron Frenzy) sings on two of the songs (he's especially good on "Matthias Replaces Judas").

So, I recommend checking this CD out or at least giving the music on the purevolume sight a chance. They do have several more melodic songs on the CD but the two tracks online are pretty intense.
