I can identify with this post on Thoughts and Ruminations of a Man on a Quest:
It's a simple scenario really, but one that sadly occurs very often, its tragic when it occurs that priests and religious become "too busy to pray" but it's equally so for lay people. As Mother Teresa said, "If you're too busy for God, you're too busy" (It might have been "If you're too busy to pray, you're too busy", I'm not sure). We rush around so much, and often the sentiment seems to be, "Well, I'd love to pray, if I only had the time." or "I'd spend an hour in adoration, if I only had the time."
The solution is simple really, make the time! It's one of the things I've enjoyed most about seminary, the scheduled times of prayer. They lend a cadence to the day which fills it with a sense of peace and purpose, and still there seems to be enough time to get everything done. It even seems to be the case that when you make some time for God, you find that you get everything else done more easily.
