"We've all got to remember that a true culture of life cannot be built by changing laws alone. We've all got to work hard to change hearts," he said. "The sanctity of life is written in the life of all men and women. And so I think, go forth with confidence that a cause rooted in human dignity and appealing to the best instincts of our citizens cannot fail."
Very true, I think. Even if abortion were illegal, our culture would still need changed. We must remember, though, that in the end, we are the winning side. Abortion is wrong and, regardless of popular opinion, the ideas of right and wrong are very real, and have real consequences now and in eternity.

The thing that suprises me the most about the March for Life is how little attention it receives. Every year, over one hundred thousand people gather together and speak out against abortion. No one gets arrested and everyone goes home happy (and tired). How is this not news?
If you have never attended the March, and are able to in the future, do it. I've never experienced anything like it. You are surrounded by more people than you've ever seen in your life, all there for one cause. Incredible.

I've made about half of the Marches, since I first went at 16 in 1978. There weren't nearly as many young people then, as there are now, that, and the fact that so many priests and seminarians are going tells me that YES we are on the winning side!
