First Day of School.

I'm back in Leander hall for the semester.

Our retreat was very cool. It was led by Bishop Earl Boyea from Detroit and he did a great job. Besides his talks we had mass and common prayer every day. There was also plenty of time for walking around the grounds of St. Emma's. I enjoyed it quite a bit and even took some pictures so you can enjoy it as well. I seem to remember someone asking about the format of the retreat ... Well, it was basically centered around Bishop Boyea's conferences. We would have adoration available in the morning, then breakfest, morning prayer and a conference. During the mornings, we observed silence. After a short break we would have mass and then lunch. The afternoons were mostly free so you could spend time in prayer, relaxing, reading, or walking around outside. I did most of those at some point. Then we would have evening prayer and dinner, and then an evening conference. Most of the days followed that plan, but we also had a question and answer period one day and on the final evening, we had evening prayer with the Benedictine sisters who run the retreat house. I hope that helps. Feel free to ask more questions.

Speaking of pictures ... I uploaded the massive chunk of jpegs from Christmas break on to my computer. Those are roughly organized and I'll post a bunch on my photoblog. Then I'll get to the ones from the retreat. There will be a lot, though.

Today I have two classes: Thomisitic Philosophy and Theories of Knowledge. They are my last two philosophy classes. I do enjoy philosophy, but I'm ready to move on to things that are a little more closely related to the Faith.

Other than all that, this week should be fairly normal: classes, prayer, mass. The first week of school is always at least slightly laid back. Then this weekend is the March for Life in D.C. Should be awesome.

So ... until later. And watch out for those pictures that I'll be posting thoughout the day.
