I just cannot get excited about this kind of thing. As Christians, we know that whatever happens, we are in God's hands. Even if the world is annihilated in a nuclear war, God will still be God.

Interesting...but actually these days I don't put much stock in it. Yes, objectively we may be at 11:55pm now, not 11:53pm...but subjectively, you can reach midnight anytime in your life. Well, I suppose you do at the end--except we have faith it will be joyous!
P.S. I didn't mean to imply I don't believe you or them. I just meant that these days in my life I realise my death may come from any means and if it's all going to end, it's all going to end. I guess we're actually on the same page about this.

Exactly. No matter how we end or the world ends, there's no point in worrying about it.
First off, its inevitable. And second, it's all in God's hands anyway. What we see as the end really isn't the end.
