"The Blasphemy Challenge."

I didn't believe it when I saw it either, but these people are serious:
The Rational Response Squad is giving away 1001 DVDs of The God Who Wasn't There, the hit documentary that the Los Angeles Times calls "provocative -- to put it mildly."

There's only one catch: We want your soul.

It's simple. You record a short message damning yourself to Hell, you upload it to YouTube, and then the Rational Response Squad will send you a free The God Who Wasn't There DVD. It's that easy.
INSTRUCTIONS:

You may damn yourself to Hell however you would like, but somewhere in your video you must say this phrase: "I deny the Holy Spirit."

Why? Because, according to Mark 3:29 in the Holy Bible, "Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." Jesus will forgive you for just about anything, but he won't forgive you for denying the existence of the Holy Spirit. Ever. This is a one-way road you're taking here.
First off, I don't think they have a real understanding of what "denying the Holy Spirit" means. It's a tricky subject, one that PhatCatholic Apologetics has talked about recently (here and here - check them out, they are very informative). Secondly, we can't really judge whether a person is going to Hell. We can tell them things that will definitely lead to that final destination, but as long as someone is alive, God's grace is always there to grab hold of.

Regardless of what they are doing and the hatred the people on these videos show towards the Church, they NEED prayer. Maybe we could all make a committment to say a rosary for everyone involved with this. It is precisely what they would mock about Christianity, but it is the Church's job to get people to Heaven. So, let's get to work.

PS: Leave a comment if you want to join in on this prayerstorm. That will encourage others to join in too.
