Transcendent.

Tonight's Vigils service for the Immaculate Conception was beautiful. The whole thing is really the Office of Readings from the Liturgy of the Hours with a few added passages and readings.

We had a full complement of servers (incense, cross, candles - one was me- and an MC) plus the celebrant and two deacons. The schola led the chants. The chapel was filled with flowers.

It's moments like this one where liturgy really feels like heaven touching the earth.

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum.
Benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc,
et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen.
