some music

1. The c60 music player is a physical way to listen to digital music. Very interesting!

I got a record player for Christmas and lately I've been thinking the way we listen to music. There's something special about holding an album - and I think that can go for CDs, tapes and records. With the availability of digital music, we lose some of that experience of opening something for the first time and "putting it on." In my case, I usually just put my whole collection on shuffle. We don't listen to albums as complete things in their own right anymore. It's all designed to cater to our immediate needs. I think it causes us to be "musically impatient" - we get what we want immediately without working for it at all.

Don't get me wrong, I love that I can find music from an endless number of artists and can take it with me anywhere, but I have to fight to appreciate music for the gift that it is, rather than just a cheap, easy to consume commodity.

Does it just do individual songs or can you do albums?

That's cool :)

I think just one song at a time.
