I've always felt that Catholic schools should have a "teaching" Mass. Maybe once every year, the priest could have a Mass in which he explains what things are and what is going on.
I don't know if he would be allowed to explain during the Mass itself, or maybe before or after.
I feel like things like this are helpful for children to understand their faith.
I always thought that might be a good idea and I've heard of priests having "fake masses" where they go through and explain everything and then have a real Mass later - such as during a retreat or something.
