Tomorrow will mark the beginning of my spring parish practicum. After class, I'll head back to Ohio until after Easter. My time in the parish will be busy too: chaperoning the youth group's homeless awareness event (they're spending the night in a parking lot), leading RCIA, leading a mini-retreat, playing a concert at the retreat house's arts and crafts festival, two Chrism Masses and, oh yeah, Holy Week.
After that, I'll have one week of class and, finally, finals week.
And I'm about 44 days away from ordination.
Everything is moving very quickly. It's stressful, exciting and daunting. These past 6 years (and probably further back than that) have all pointed to this. I'm anxious to do what I've been studying and preparing to do for the last several years.
Wish me luck. Tonight I have to finish a take-home Biomedical Ethics exam.
