1. Field Notes - Fantastic little notebooks that fit perfectly in your back pocket. I've wanted a pocket notebook for a while, but nothing seemed practical for actually carrying around. These are exactly what I wanted.
2. Top Gear (UK) - I'm not a car person, but this show is fascinating.
3. Getting ready for the new Roman Missal - After having celebrated the Mass since the end of May and becoming familiar with the current Mass translation, I feel like I'm better able to prepare for the new one. I finally know what the new words are replacing and can productively study the new translation.
4. The Music of Battlestar Galactica for Solo Piano - I know I go on and on about the BSG soundtrack, but it's truly some of my favorite music. This new solo piano album that composer Bear McCreary has put together makes me appreciate his work anymore. These versions are stripped down and (mostly) more relaxed. Here's a favorite: "Passacaglia."
5. Fall, which doesn't have a website. I am a summer person. I've always loved warm weather - weather where you can where sandals and shorts and be completely comfortable - but I've been enjoying what it's been like lately around here. Even the rain has been nice. It's somehow relaxing. When I leave the house in the morning and there is a nice chill in the air, I just feel alive.
