If you are a big fan of Lord of the Rings, Middle-Earth and Tolkien in general, this collection of letters is a fascinating look into the mind behind it all.
I loved getting a glimpse into Tolkien's personality - his relationships with family and friends, his great attention to detail in his work and, especially, his Catholic faith.
Reading this has shown me, more than I ever suspected before, what an achievement LotR, and all the stories of Middle-Earth, truly are.
