It's been a busy week ...

... mostly by my own choosing.

On Monday morning, I had the privilege, once again, to celebrate Mass with the Franciscan Sisters TOR in Toronto, Ohio. They are a wonderful community and truly a gift to our diocese. It's always refreshing to spend time with them.

That evening we had our annual Clergy Jubilee celebration - where we celebrate some important ordination anniversaries (25, 50, and 60 years) of the priests of our diocese. Most of the our priests were there. It's always good to get together like that.

On Tuesday, I led a group from my parish up to Steubenville for a sort of pilgrimage/Catholic tour. We started out with the TOR sisters, then had Mass at the cathedral. After lunch at Naples, a requirement if you visit Steubenville, we visited my home parish of St. Peter's.

We finished with a stop by Franciscan University, Nelson Fine Art & Gifts, and dinner at Zalenski's.

Then, I spent Wednesday whitewater rafting in Ohiopyle, PA with some kids and parents from St. John High School. It was the first time I've done it and it was a fantastic time. I was only knocked out of the raft on the very last rapid.
