Today is the 200th birthday of the founder of St. Vincent Archabbey.
We celebrated with a HUGE Vespers service in the Basilica with beautiful music (a choir made up of the college, parish, archabbey and seminary choirs with a string section, organ and trumpet) and a speech by Abbot Primate Notker Wolf, the head of the International Benedictine Confederation (who, interestingly enough, plays electric guitar in a Christian rock band. See below).
