Interesting stories from CNN.com

1. 9-foot dinosaur skeleton is no-sale at auction - I'll take it!

2. Cops help dream up high-tech police car
The result is a futuristic prowler with a 300-horsepower clean diesel engine, flashing lights visible from all angles, an ergonomic cockpit, an onboard computer with voice command and instant license plate recognition, integrated shotgun mounts, and more. (Weapons of mass destruction detectors are available as an option -- seriously.)
3. Imagine a video game where "the player journeys through an imaginary landscape where they can blow breezes, collect flower petals and enjoy the colorful landscape of what ... is a 'video game version of a poem.'" - Weird but intriguing.

4. A singer-songwriter fundraises from fans to record an album - I'm not that interested in her music, but this is a cool idea: people supporting musicians (or any artists) they like instead of relying on record companies to discover, publicize and support them. I also like the prizes she's offering for various donations:
To sweeten the pot, Sobule offered prizes to contributors -- or "gifts," as she calls them. For 10 grand, you got to sing on the record. Five thousand dollars earned you a private living room concert. A $100 donation meant a T-shirt from Sobule with the words "Junior Executive Producer" emblazoned on it.
