Note: I know this is a little late. I wanted to write this post mainly so I could put a link in the sidebar for new visitors to read. This will be an explanation of what's going on here ... that may help some older readers as well.
Who am I?
For that answer you could see my profile or my vocation story, but the short version is that I am Mike G, a Roman Catholic seminarian and this is my blog.
What's the point?
I started this blog so I could have a place to write and, basically, share my opinions. Since the beginning it's evolved into a sort of half public journal, half commentary page. There is also a large amount of random weirdness in there as well.
What's in a name?

Why should you care?
Well, I'm not saying that you should. If you stumbled upon this blog and have enjoyed what you read, bookmark it and check back again. If you absolutely hate what I say ... then either tell me that in the comment boxes or leave and don't come back.
I don't think I am a particularly brilliant person, but I enjoy writing and thinking. What you see here is the product of years of school, a B.A. in Media Studies, lots of reading, the important people in my life and my Catholic faith. If you benefit from it, praise God.

Conclusion
Like everything else in my life, I believe this blog should bring others and myself closer to God. If you have questions about Catholicism, don't hesitate to ask. I love discussing many different topics (including: music, philosophy, political science, books, journalism, faith and life in general) so feel free to provoke conversation.

I would say that in my mind I am sure that I am called to be a priest. I believe that God wants me to be where I am right now. I'm trusting Him to get me to ordination as long as it's His will. I try to remain open to whatever He says ... whether I like it or not.
Though I do not make any formal declaration or promise anything until my 3rd year of theology (I have another year of pre-theology before I even start theology), I am fairly settled into the idea.

Please seek holiness! We desperately need holy priests. We need priests who are in LOVE with Jesus. Priests who love Our Lord in His Most Blessed Sacrament. Priests who desire to bring souls to the Lord and Jesus to souls. We need priests who are true sons of the Blessed Mother! We need men of prayer and example.
May Our Lady obtain the grace for you to be just such a priest.

When I think of priests--I think of sadistic pedophiles...Living here in Wintersville when I see a priest I feel a terrible rush of rage...
The world DOES NOT need more priests.
I'm sorry you feel that way, anonymous. It's a tragedy and a scandal what a few priests have done to the image of all priests.
I pray for you and all people who have been hurt by a priest or by the whole scandal.
But we do need priests - holy priests who are out to serve God and live for their people.
