Maybe it's just me ...

... but it seems that the Cheney shooting story has taken on a life that was totally unexpected. Besides all of the inevitable late night show jokes, there's this idea that the accident somehow reveals the inner workings of the Bush administration. I think it only reveals that we are all human. If there is some kind of rift in the White House that is to be expected. We will probably never know all of the details of what makes our leaders tick, but we cannot forget that they are people, just like we are.
