... a low-speed chase on Interstate 70 today. Weird.
Anyway, this weekend and past few days was a good time. On Thursday I left Marietta and headed back up north to Steubenville. Then I rode with my dad to Mount Union where I met Craigr, visited Spanky and Fluffy, and then headed even farther north to Gabe's house.
That night we hung out, picked up our tuxes, and met the squirrel that Gabe's family has been raising. The next morning Craigr, Gabe, Gabe's dad, all of Gabe's brothers and I went golfing ... in the rain. Despite the time and the weather it was a fun experience. I did ok for never golfing before.
Later that day we watched some LOTR:ROTK and visited Gabe and Steph's new house. That evening we headed to Smithville for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. I learned all of the Best (Possibly Greatest) Man maneuvers.
Finally it was the big day. Gabe, Craigr and I headed to Smithville and got situated in the church. Once Gabe's brothers and dad arrived and the photographer was ready we all got changed and stood around ... for a long time. The time was mostly spent whistling/humming "Final Countdown" by Europe or throwing paper airplanes. Then we did some pictures, saw some people arrive, and then got in position for the whole wedding thing.
The ceremony went swimmingly which basically means everything went fine while I swam in sweat. There was no air conditioning in the church. It was hot. Afterwards I stood in line and greeted people (the majority of which I didn't know) and then we did several more pictures in the hot church. Luckily, I got to ride in the convertible with Gabe and Steph and the maid of honor. The ride to the reception was refreshing.
Of course the reception was pretty cool. I'm not big on dances but it was great to see lots of friends who I haven't been able to talk to for a while. I gave a quick (and hopefully decent) toast and my best man duties were done.
I rode home to S-Ville with Josh that night. It took us (and Craigr and Romano & Greg) a little while to find our way out but we ended up where we wanted to be.
On sunday I went to mass and then went to my sister's high school graduation. The ceremony was suprisingly quick and relatively painless compared to others I've attended. Later that day we went to three graduation parties and then saw X-Men: The Last Stand. Whew.
On Memorial Day I slept in and then cut our grass. We had some steak off of the barby courtesy of Matt and then I got together with Shannon and Phil for ice cream and The Goblet of Fire.
Today I packed, got a haircut, came here, rode my bike ... and here we are.

Speaking of low-speed chases, did you hear about the cop who chased a man across a golf course in a golf cart? Ha ha!
