Random happening:

After a long day of orientation activities, another seminarian and I went for a walk around the campus. We ended up behind the dorms where the Steelers live during training camp. As we passed the back door, I saw a guy with some large hair. It happened to be Troy Polamalu.

So, we went over and said "hi" and ended up talking to him for half an hour about religion, philosophy, and other random stuff. He was incredibly friendly and very intelligent. It's hard to believe that he's the same guy who destroys people on the football field. He seemed to be very serious about his faith (He's Catholic).

In the end, I said I'd pray for him. It's good to know that there is at least one person like that in professional sports.

Very strange but cool.

Wow! Lucky you... did you ask him to see the ring? lol

That's cool how he's a nice guy and all.. I remember his voice being realllllly high pitched on the advertisements during football games.. was it like that? lol

It wasn't really high ... just not what you'd expect from a big football player. He was soft-spoken and calm.
