Back to basics.

This weekend promises to be a good one. It's what we call at the seminary a "free weekend," meaning one when we can go home if we so choose. I'm staying on campus this time because we have practice for the musical stations of the cross that one of the monks wrote (I'm playing clarinet in the orchestra).
Several other guys are staying here for the weekend as well, so it should be enjoyable.

Tonight we went out to dinner at the always good Steak and Shake. After returning to St. Vincent, we played some Halo and watched a few episodes of, in my opinion, the greatest "kids' show" ever made: The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Anybody remember that show? Yeah, it was (and is) awesome.

In some blog related news, my brother created a new blogger-powered blog (as opposed to his xanga), Adventure of Life. Also, partly through his suggestion, I want to do a little more writing on my own blog. I've been doing a lot of linking lately, but not sharing too much of what I think, which is what I really want to do with this blog. It's not that I have particularly great ideas, it's just that I like writing them down. It helps me to clarify my thoughts and it is helpful to get feedback. Plus, I really want to provide readers with a little view of the life of a seminarian other than what he watches on YouTube.

So, I'll get to that sometime. For now, it's time to sleep.

Sounds like you're having a good time and good ideas. I wish I could play a musical instrument; I can only pick out tunes on a piano. Badly.

I think Fr Stephen might be setting me writing assignments, so I would agree writing stuff is a good idea.
