1. I've always enjoyed The Clash's "Spanish Bombs." Here's a pretty cool acoustic cover.

2. Years ago, I somehow got an mp3 of this guitar duel from the movie Crossroads. Until now, when I saw the video and looked up the movie on wikipedia, I had no idea what was going on. That it explains it. It even has the Karate Kid in it.

3. This poem by Pavel Chichikov has a great first line. I'm not sure that my interpretation is what the poet had in mind, but the idea of musicians getting in the way of music makes sense to me. Sometimes artists make it all about themselves instead of about the art and what it points to.
