I'm a bad blogger.
This Advent has been far busier than I ever would have imagined: lots of penance services and Christmas parties alongside writing Christmas cards, organizing our March for Life trip, playing in the high school's Christmas cantata and all the normal life of a parish.
It feels good to be a priest tonight, on this Christmas Eve Eve. I've experienced a lot since May 21st. Not all of it has been easy but all of it has been meaningful and, at least for me, from God.
Seeing how God works through poor, weak and imperfects people (like me) is amazing. Even with all my faults, he touches people in ways that I didn't plan or expect.
As I head into "Christmas proper," I'm thankful for what God has done with me and in me. I have so much learning and growing to do, but my experience of the priesthood so far has shown that He is the one in charge. All I have to do is trust and obey.
